In cases of divorce or separation, a child custody investigation can help make sure that your child is in a safe and healthy environment, and is not being exposed to dangerous people or situations. Our child custody investigations have uncovered and documented everything from simple neglect all the way up to outright physical abuse.
How does a child custody investigation work?
In most cases, we use surveillance to determine what is happening and who is around when a child is in the custody of the other parent. We will document all activities, including any abuse or neglect that we see and we will gather all evidence that suggests whether the child is being treated appropriately or not. Additionally, our investigators can speak to witnesses for the court on behalf of the parents.
Our findings always have more credibility in court…
Our investigators will find out whether a parent is taking part in dangerous activities, such as reckless driving, criminal activity, alcohol or drug abuse, neglect, or other activities that may affect the child’s welfare. Based on the information and evidence gathered, parents and courts can determine what to do to ensure the child safety. As independent and licensed observers, our findings always have more credibility in court than a parent’s accusations.
Safeguard Your Child
There are many reasons why parents turn to a private investigator to safeguard their child:
- Concerns about their child’s safety. It is a statistical fact that a child is most likely to be abused or neglected by those who are closest to them — including their parents. In a custody dispute, however, allegations may not be taken as seriously as they should be. The bottom line is, you will need very specific and concrete evidence to prove that a child is either being abused or is in a dangerous environment.
- We can help provide the evidence that can prove exactly who and what is going on.
- Peace of mind. We can help determine whether a child is being neglected or abused. If abuse or neglect is not a factor, parents can rest assured that their children are secure.
